The month of May has been filled with adventures, creative challenges, and memories and we didn’t know how to choose our favorite. But we thought to top off the month we’d share a few photos from our Coney Island Cleanup. Our beauty team searched the beach for trash and ended the day with relaxing on the white sand they’d cleaned.
The key to Parlor is our philosophy that the relationships we build with clients go beyond the everyday bumping of shoulders in New York City. It’s a space open to conversations for both the elevated craft of hairstyle and fashion as well as last weekend’s escapades. The blog aspires to interact with the never-ending list of questions, concerns, and passion our clients hold for the chic-vintage lifestyle Parlor embodies. Followers should expect DIY tutorials on how to master the perfect up-dos, season appropriate makeup tips, natural remedies, and personal exposés on our stylists and their creative adventures both in and out of the salon.
Parlor’s two locations bridge a gap between Manhattan and Brooklyn. The East Village salon was founded in 1994 and expanded quickly because of its unique relaxed atmosphere contrasted to the fast-paced culture of the city. Its younger sibling, Parlor in Brooklyn, is situated on Atlantic Ave in an energetic neighborhood that’s filled with stores to browse before or after appointments (or both if you’re addicted like us!). The two salons encompass timelessness in their décor and ambience, which our blog hopes to capture by balancing modern esthetic with vintage vibrancies.
